Golf Rehabilitation

The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is a developmental center devoted to golfers to help improve their conditioning and overall golf game. After two decades of studying one thing – the Body-Swing Connection, they developed a screen to identify physical limitations that may be contributing to swing flaws, injuries and higher scores.

The Golf Rehabilitation and Performance Program at APTS will evaluate a golfer’s upper/lower body flexibility, posture, core stability, balance and golf specific mobility. After a 16-point TPI screen and video analysis of the golf swing, a customized golf exercise program to address the golfer’s limitations and impairments will be provided.

What are the Benefits?

  • Identify physical limitations contributing to different golf swing characteristics
  • Decrease painful movement patterns
  • Decrease risk of further injury
  • Improve balance between stability and mobility required for the golf swing
  • Education in weight training for golf
  • Play the game of golf with greater efficiency

*A golfer can spend hundreds of dollars on the latest equipment, but may forget that golf fitness training for the body is the most important tool. Proper strength and mobility training for golf are vital aspects of improving and maintaining your golf game- as well as staying healthy!

Will my insurance cover my Golf Performance Evaluation? It is possible if you have pain while playing golf. We will need to do a physical therapy initial examination first to determine the medical necessity of the golf performance evaluation. If you are not currently injured or in pain or do not have medical insurance, we offer cash pay rates for services. Please contact our clinic at (910) 423-5550 for details and to schedule an appointment.
